Pure Copper Ball for Tamra Jal — Turn Any Glass of Water into Ayurvedic Copper Water

€10,00

One solid ball of pure copper. Drop it into any glass of water before you go to sleep. By morning, you have Tamra Jal, copper-infused water, prepared the Ayurvedic way.

No copper glass needed. No copper bottle needed. The Copper Energy Ball brings the tradition of Tamra Jal to whatever vessel you already own, a ceramic mug, a glass carafe, an ordinary kitchen glass, a water jug. The copper meets the water. The water rests. That is all it takes.

This is an Art of Vedas original, designed to make the ancient practice of drinking copper water as simple and as portable as possible. One ball, any glass, anywhere.

Place the Copper Energy Ball in a glass, jug, or bottle of room-temperature water. Leave it for 6 to 8 hours, or overnight. In the morning, remove the ball and drink the water on an empty stomach.

If you follow the full Dantacharya (Ayurvedic morning oral care routine), Ushapana is the final step:

  1. Scrape your tongue with a copper tongue scraper (Jihwa Prakshalana)
  2. Swish Arimedadi Thailam in your mouth for 10–15 minutes (Gandusha)
  3. Drink your Tamra Jal (Ushapana)

You can also use the Copper Energy Ball throughout the day. The longer the water rests with the copper, the more contact it has, but even a few hours will begin the process.

Use plain water only. Do not use with acidic liquids (citrus juice, vinegar, milk, carbonated drinks).

Clean the Copper Energy Ball regularly with a paste of lemon juice and salt. Rub gently, rinse thoroughly under running water, and dry completely before storing.

Copper will naturally develop a patina over time, a darker, warmer tone on the surface. This is expected with pure copper and does not reduce its effectiveness. Regular cleaning with lemon and salt restores the original shine and keeps the surface active.

When not in use, store the ball dry. Do not leave it sitting in water for days without drinking the water, fill fresh each evening.

How Copper Ball Works

The Copper Energy Ball is solid 100% pure copper, with no coating and no lining. When placed in water, the entire surface of the ball is in direct contact with the water. Over 6 to 8 hours, the copper interacts with the water through a natural process, the same process that occurs in any traditional copper vessel.

Copper is well documented for its natural antimicrobial and oligodynamic properties, meaning the surface actively discourages the growth of bacteria and microorganisms in the water it touches. This is a property of the metal itself, recognized in both traditional Ayurvedic practice and modern material science.

The ball shape is deliberate, it settles in any vessel, stays stable, and provides consistent surface contact with the water throughout the night.

Why Tamra Jal?

Drinking water from a copper vessel is one of the first recommendations in Ayurvedic Dinacharya, the daily routine described in Ayurveda. It is called Ushapana: the practice of drinking water first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything else.

When that water has been stored in copper overnight, it becomes Tamra Jal. The classical texts describe this water as supportive of digestion, helpful for maintaining balance across all three doshas, and part of the body's natural daily purification process.

Beyond Water — Copper in Your Hands

The Copper Energy Ball is designed for Tamra Jal, but copper against skin has its own tradition in Ayurveda.

The centre of each palm contains Talahridaya Marma, a key energy point connected to the heart and the flow of Prana (vital energy). Rolling a solid copper ball slowly across this point stimulates it through gentle, sustained pressure. Copper is classified as cooling and Pitta-balancing, so the material itself contributes to the quality of the contact, not just the pressure.

Roll it between your palms for a few minutes before meditation. Place it under the arch of your foot in the evening to reach Padahridaya Marma, the corresponding point at the sole, traditionally associated with grounding and calm. Hold it in cupped palms during breathwork to anchor your attention to something tangible and cool.

One product, two practices: Tamra Jal in your water, marma energy in your hands. This is why it is called the Copper Energy Ball.
